It's true my grown-up mysteries have won awards. But, here is a picture of me receiving my first writing award ever—when I was in fifth grade and wrote a Citizenship essay that the Lions Club liked! Don't tell anybody, but we used to call our principal Chrome Dome. Can you spot him? (Hint #2: I think he was sleeping when they snapped this shot.) You might've heard that I have a famous dog. I do.
